Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Keling Medical collects through autoclaveequipment.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Shanghai Keling International Trading Co., Ltd. (trading as Keling Medical), a manufacturer and exporter of pressure steam sterilizers, with its sales and export office in Shanghai and its R&D and production base in Yangzhou, China. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
Questions about this policy or about your data: inquiry@shkeling.com.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the minimal technical data any web server records.
- Enquiry details you send us — name, company, country, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, the product you are interested in and the content of your message.
- Correspondence — the emails, WhatsApp messages and quotation documents exchanged with our export team after your first enquiry.
- Server log data — our hosting provider automatically records IP address, date and time of request, the page requested, HTTP status, referrer and browser user-agent string. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting, not by us for marketing.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card data, bank details, government ID numbers, health data or any other special category of personal data through this website. Please do not send such information through the enquiry form.
3. How the enquiry form works
The form on our contact page does not transmit anything to a server of ours. When you press Send Inquiry, your browser opens your own email program with the message pre-filled and addressed to inquiry@shkeling.com. Nothing is sent until you send that email yourself, and we receive it exactly as we would receive any other email. The same applies to the Email buttons on product pages.
4. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation | Enquiry details, correspondence | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Performing a sales contract, shipping and after-sales support | Enquiry details, correspondence, delivery details | Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Following up on an enquiry that has gone quiet | Name, company, email | Our legitimate interest in pursuing a business enquiry you started — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Keeping records for tax, customs and export compliance | Transaction and shipping records | Legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Keeping the website available and secure | Server log data | Legitimate interest in operating a secure website — Art. 6(1)(f) |
We do not send marketing newsletters and we do not build advertising profiles. If we ever start sending marketing email, it will be on the basis of your consent, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own. It uses no analytics service, no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no A/B testing tool, no embedded fonts or scripts from third-party domains, and no browser storage. Every file the page loads comes from our own domain. That is why you see no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie for load balancing or security. Such a cookie carries no personal profile and is exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.
If we add a web analytics tool in future, we will update this policy before it goes live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
6. External links and social buttons
Our pages link to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and to WhatsApp. These are plain links, not embedded widgets — nothing is loaded from those platforms while you are on our site and they cannot track you here. Once you click through, that platform's own privacy policy applies, and WhatsApp messages you send us are processed by WhatsApp under its terms in addition to ours.
7. Who we share your data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We disclose it only to:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website files and generates server logs.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores our business correspondence.
- Our own group companies in Shanghai and Yangzhou, where the technical and production teams need your requirements to prepare a quotation or build your order.
- Freight forwarders, carriers and customs authorities, where a shipment requires it.
- Authorities or advisers, where we are legally obliged to disclose.
8. International transfers
Keling Medical is established in China, so if you contact us from the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or another jurisdiction with transfer rules, your data will be transferred to and processed in China. Where that transfer is necessary to answer your enquiry or to perform a contract with you, it is permitted under GDPR Art. 49(1)(b). For ongoing commercial relationships we are willing to enter into the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses on request — write to inquiry@shkeling.com.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order — up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
- Customer and order records — for the duration of the business relationship and afterwards for as long as Chinese accounting, tax and export law requires (generally 10 years).
- Server logs — retained by the hosting provider for a short period, typically no more than 12 months.
10. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a content security policy and standard security headers. Access to our mailboxes and customer records is limited to the staff who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send confidential commercial terms or sensitive personal data by unencrypted email.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict or object to processing (including to our legitimate-interest follow-ups); receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, email inquiry@shkeling.com with the subject line "Data request". We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. If you are in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
12. Children
This is a business-to-business website for medical, laboratory and dental equipment buyers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified by email where we have your address.
